Bio:
As an Interfaith Minister and Spiritual Sex and Intimacy Coach, I have been able to blend my lived experience with my training and knowledge into an approach that helps individuals and couples to heal the divisions between sexual activities and identity and the deep inner part of the spirit where wounds are tucked away in hopes that they will go away.
In my journey from the “good girl” who followed all the rules on the outside while questioning and rebelling on the inside to being a confident, engaged and sexually alive woman, I have learned that to live authentically is to be whole and healthy in body, mind and soul.
I grew up in a very conservative Roman Catholic home. I am the oldest of 6 children, and I knew how to take care of everyone else from a very young age. What I didn’t learn was how important it is for me to be happy, cared for, in touch with my sexuality (both literally and figuratively), and fully integrated with my spirituality while being fully present in my body. I also wasn’t taught how to be in a partnership in which sexuality was discussed and differences were addressed. Sex and soul were not “allowed” to live in the same arena for fear that one would taint the other.
The result is that when you live this way, both of these essential parts of your Self are diminished.
I believe that sexuality is an integral part of life and that sexual expression is one of the essential ways that humans connect with each other and with universal energy. I define sexual expression beyond what happens in the proverbial “bedroom”. To me, sexual expression is the totality of our interactions that happen because we are intimately connected to the body and the sensations, both physical and emotional, that arise from living within this body.
I am passionate about being fully present in each moment, and I encourage my clients to let their truest selves shine forth. I believe in the power of being completely me in every situation, and I want to help you find and live in that power, too.
